Employee engagement
Virtual Tea Sessions were informal yet essential to Telenor Myanmar's internal communication during the pandemic, as most employees worked remotely and seldom interacted in person. To maximise the engagement among the employees, top management tasked the communication team with creating a platform to keep everyone informed and motivated. As the senior manager in corporate communications team, I took the core responsibility for hosting a weekly live broadcast of a virtual talk show with the CEO. Each week, I curated the agenda making sure it reflected the main priorities of the company strategy and had a smooth and engaging story. Then I invited a few employee representatives to the live session to chat with the CEO, discussing the products or projects they were working on and how these initiatives supported the overall business strategy. The CEO also provided the audience with important updates on business performance and the security situation. These sessions became a key source of information and a vital platform for employees to stay connected with their colleagues across the country.
